What is DBT?
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a form of cognitive-behavioural therapy developed by Dr. Marsha Linehan in the late 1980s, originally to treat Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). Now used for a range of mental health conditions, DBT combines acceptance and change strategies, teaching clients practical skills to manage emotions, cope with distress, and improve relationships.
